The Leicester Lohana Mahajan was formed in 1969 to bring together and promote the Cultural, Religious and Social Needs of the Local Lohana Community in Leicester. There are approximately, 1700 Lohana Families residing in Leicester, the majority of which have moved from East Africa and Gujarat in India. Since then the centre and mandir have hosted thousands of events and functions on a weekly basis.
